Simeon Reimonenq, based in Lugenbuhl’s New Orleans office, litigates a broad range of cases on behalf of insurers and corporate clients. His insurance law experience includes insurance coverage defense; life, accident, and disability insurance; asbestos; personal injury defense; and employee benefits and employment law, and he often represents insurance companies in matters that involve property and casualty insurance coverage and general liability coverage litigation. Simeon has been counsel for insurers in significant property cases arising out of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, Ike, Laura, Delta, Zeta, and Ida, which have involved significant losses to commercial and residential properties. He has successfully tried cases in both federal and state courts to verdict, including cases in excess of a million dollars.
In addition, Simeon also has significant experience representing insurance companies in environmental coverage litigation, including asbestos and silica litigation.
Simeon began his legal career as an in-house attorney in the Travelers Insurance Company’s corporate legal department handling insurance litigation in areas including ERISA/employee benefits, property casualty insurance coverage, life, accident and health insurance, risk management, annuities, and securities. That experience provided him the foundation to become a skilled trial attorney.
On the corporate side, Simeon also represents clients in intellectual property matters, employment law, trucking and transportation law, and ERISA matters.
Outside the Office
When Simeon is not deeply focused on client matters, he enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and scuba diving.
