Overview

Originally from north Alabama, Kate works in the New Orleans office primarily with the firm’s Bankruptcy and Commercial Groups. Kate Clark is an experienced litigator who represents stakeholders in bankruptcy matters as well as commercial litigation. She also has experience in transactional work and can assist business owners in corporate formation, governance, and if needed, sale and dissolution.

Kate represents stakeholders in bankruptcy and commercial litigation context, as well as post-confirmation trustees. She also works on appeals – both at the state and federal level. Kate gained valuable experience through working as an attorney in the Mediation and Judicial Support Office at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit for five years.

She is also CIPP/US certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, indicating her ability to advise clients on implementing privacy policy frameworks, data breach notification procedures, and compliance with U.S. state and federal privacy regulations.

Outside the Office

Kate is an avid fly fisherman, and particularly enjoys trout fishing. She also enjoys making tiny paintings about life in the South. She also enjoys collecting art, attending estate sales, and digitizing old 8mm films.
