How Can I Help You Move Forward?

For every client, large or small and whatever the jurisdiction, I strive to be as effective, responsive and efficient as my clients have every right to expect. As a result, my clients have recognized me for my ability to quickly grasp the issues and successfully resolve them.

Overview

Coleman Torrans represents all types of stakeholders in bankruptcy and commercial litigation contexts, including debtors in possession; official committees; secured and unsecured creditors; and Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and post-confirmation trustees. Although he is based in Lugenbuhl’s New Orleans office, Coleman’s practice is both local and national. He represents clients in Louisiana and in high-traffic venues for multimillion dollar bankruptcy cases, including the Southern District of Texas, the District of Delaware and the Southern District of California, as well as various district and appellate courts. In addition to “complex” Chapter 11 cases, Coleman’s practice is focused on representing clients in bankruptcy “spin off” proceedings, including preference actions, claim disputes and directors and officers litigation.

Coleman gained valuable experience in the course of the following judicial clerkships:

  • Law Clerk, the Hon. Carl J. Barbier (E.D. La.)
  • Extern, the Hon. Fredericka H. Wicker (La. App. 5 Cir.)
  • Extern, the Hon. Lance M. Africk (E.D. La.)

Coleman is extremely responsive to enquiries, and he presents and delivers a remarkable level of sophistication.
