This distinguished honor recognizes Draper’s more than 50 years of dedicated service to the bankruptcy community, his unwavering commitment to the profession, and the lasting impact he has made on colleagues, clients, and the legal industry throughout his remarkable career.
The award presentation featured a special introduction by the Honorable Meredith S. Grabill, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana. The evening also included a memorable roast by Pat Vance and Louis Phillips, celebrating Doug’s accomplishments, character, and legacy with both admiration and humor. Draper thanked many of his colleagues, partners, and friends, with a special heartfelt thanks to his secretary of over thirty years, Deb Hepting.
