Justin Diaz of Lugenbuhl’s Houston office was recently appointed to the Houston Bar Association’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, the AIDS Outreach Committee, and the LGBTQ+ Committee for the 2021-2022 Bar year.
Houston Bar Association Committees are responsible for the planning and execution of the Bar’s community outreach and member services. Each committee requires attorney participation to carry out HBA’s mission to serve others and to enhance the legal profession. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee organizes a summer clerkship program for diverse 1L law students from Houston law schools; the AIDS Outreach Committee coordinates a holiday gift drive for HIV/ AIDS-affected families; and the LGBTQ+ Committee empowers LGBTQ+ and ally members of the legal community through mentorship, networking, CLEs, and community projects.
Lugenbuhl encourages attorneys and staff to help lead the firm in the development of new initiatives internally through a cooperative effort of active participation in community programs dedicated to diversity and inclusion.
