The Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admission to the Bar of the American Bar Association has scheduled an Invitational Roundtable Discussion to take place virtually on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT. Lugenbuhl Shareholder Elia Diaz-Yaeger has been invited as the Hispanic National Bar Association’s National President to participate in one of six roundtables that will include up to twelve key individuals in a discussion dedicated to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, including Cultural Competency and Bias.
The Invitational Roundtable will be hosted by the Council’s Standards Committee to solicit input on specific topics on the committee’s 2020-2021 agenda. Two tables will be devoted to discussing issues related to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, including Cultural Competency and Bias; one table will focus on Lawyer Wellbeing and Professional Responsibility; one table will discuss Transparency; one table will discuss Standards 501 and 503 (Admissions Test), and one table will consider the objective of Standard 507 (Student Loan Programs), including the collection and publication of data.
