Lugenbuhl Announces Two New Shareholders


Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard is proud to announce that LaDonna Schexnyder and Rebecca Moore have recently been named as Shareholders in the firm. Both experienced attorneys are heavily involved in Lugenbuhl’s robust insurance coverage practice, with Ms. Schexnyder practicing in the firm’s Baton Rouge office and Ms. Moore practicing in its Houston office.

LaDonna G. Schexnyder joined Lugenbuhl in 2006. Her current practice focuses on insurance coverage litigation, including property insurance coverage litigation and bad faith claims litigation. She graduated magna cum laude from Northeast Louisiana University in 1989 receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government with a minor in Accounting. Ms. Schexnyder attended law school at Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans where she was a member of the Moot Court staff as well as a teaching assistant. Ms. Schexnyder graduated in 2003 with her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in International Studies. After being admitted in 2003, Ms. Schexnyder began her career working primarily in the admiralty and maritime field. In 2010 Ms. Schexnyder was admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western United States District Courts in Texas. Ms. Schexnyder’s litigation experience includes bench trials and mediations.

Rebecca A. Moore joined Lugenbuhl in 2010. Her practice focuses on matters involving sophisticated coverage cases and insurance defense matters related to commercial litigation, third-party and first-party defense, product liability, automobile claims and premises liability. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1994, receiving a degree in Criminal Justice. After obtaining her paralegal certification from Southwest Texas State University in 1996, Ms. Moore worked as a paralegal in the legal field until earning her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2001. Ms. Moore is listed among Texas’ Top Young Lawyers (Texas Rising Star Edition, Super Lawyers Magazine, 2010 and 2011), and is a member of the Houston, Texas and American Bar Associations and is a member of the Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western United States District Courts in Texas. Ms. Moore’s litigation experience includes bench trials, default judgments and mediations. In motion practice, Ms. Moore has successfully pursued summary judgments and defended against them in both Texas and Florida.
