Elia Diaz-Yaeger to Speak at New York State Bar Association’s Joint Fall Meeting in New Orleans


Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard shareholder Elia Diaz-Yaeger will be a featured speaker during the New York State Bar Association’s Torts, Insurance & Compensation and Trial Lawyers Sections Joint Fall Meeting. The event takes place October 7-10, 2016 in New Orleans.

Diaz-Yaeger will participate in a panel discussion entitled, “Louisiana v. New York: The Napoleonic Code and English Common Law.” The program will explore an overview of each state’s civil procedure and practice, and provides one hour of Professional Practice credit. Diaz-Yaeger is one of six speakers on the panel, which includes attorneys from Louisiana and New York and the Honorable Tiffany Gautier Chase of Orleans Civil District Court. 

A frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars, Diaz-Yaeger was awarded the 2015 Human Rights Award from the Louisiana State Bar Association and was selected to New Orleans CityBusiness’ 2015 Class of Women of the Year, which recognizes the professional and community achievements of women throughout the New Orleans area.
