How Can I Help You Move Forward?

My objective is to provide clients with efficient and quick resolution of their matters, which I accomplish by bringing the level of attention and clarity of focus that helps us collaboratively analyze their exposure, objectively weigh risks and options, and determine the best plan of action. From there, it’s my job to guide clients through all aspects of their litigation.

Overview

Sarah Laurie concentrates her practice on commercial property and homeowners’ property insurance coverage defense and litigation, with a focus on homeowners’ insurance defense and bad faith claims. She also has extensive experience in other areas of the law, including mass tort, property law, employment discrimination and personal injury.

Throughout her career, Sarah has worked on claims resulting from catastrophic events, such as Superstorm Sandy and Hurricanes Laura, Delta, Zeta and Ida. She is adept at analyzing the applicable policies, caselaw and facts of each case to give her clients options for the best possible results. Primarily representing insurance companies against litigants to minimize exposure and company liability, as well as defending against exaggerated or false claims, Sarah works to ensure her clients achieve the earliest possible resolution before disputes become lawsuits, and to that end she has successfully mediated a significant number of claims.

Prior to law school, Sarah worked both on Capitol Hill and in the U.S. State Department, which provided her with valuable insight into the lawmaking process and other governmental operations.

Outside the Office

When not busy helping clients, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and children, rooting for the New Orleans Saints and Tulane Green Wave, trying new restaurants around New Orleans, and learning to cook her mother’s family recipes.
