Simeon Bernard Reimonenq, Jr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 1, 1962. He graduated from Brother Martin High School in 1980 and did his undergraduate work at the University of New Orleans where he graduated in 1984 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After practicing as an engineer for two years with Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company in Newport News, Virginia, Mr. Reimonenq returned to New Orleans to attend Loyola University School of Law. Graduating in 1989, he began the practice of law as an in-house attorney with Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut, in its Litigation Department. While practicing at Travelers, Mr. Reimonenq gained valuable experience in a variety of insurance law areas including ERISA/employee benefits, coverage defense, life, accident, and disability insurance, health care administration, managed care, fiduciary liability, risk management annuities, and securities fraud and abuse. Upon returning to New Orleans in 1994, and joining the firm, he has continued to practice in the areas of insurance law including coverage, personal injury defense, ERISA/employee benefits, employment law, intellectual property, securities, financial services, and creditor's rights. Mr. Reimonenq is a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD) Panel of Arbitrators. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute Insurance Law Committee and the American Bar Association's Employment Law Committee. Mr. Reimonenq is licensed to practice in Connecticut as well as Louisiana. Mr. Reimonenq, with both trial and appellate experience, can represent clients in all of Louisiana's federal and state courts.
