Lugenbuhl associate Briana Loughlin recently visited Kelso Elementary School in Houston to speak to students on National Law Day. The special day, recognized annually on May 1, is meant to highlight the role of law in the U.S. and the important foundation it provides in society.

During her visit, Briana read to students and spoke about her career in the legal field. “I’m a firm believer in the importance and power of literacy and find it rewarding to share my experiences as a young lawyer with future young professionals,” Briana says.

Briana’s efforts are part of Lugenbuhl’s larger role with the Houston Bar Association’s Speakers Bureau. Donna Thomisee, managing partner of Lugenbuhl’s Houston office, will be co-chair of the HBA’s Speakers Bureau during the coming year and with her past participation on the committee, regularly visits elementary schools throughout the year to read books, speak about law and share information about her career. “I love being involved in HBA’s speaker program. Not only do I get the opportunity to mentor and motivate children through literacy, I get to have fun doing it,” Donna says.

Lugenbuhl is proud to have attorneys that generously volunteer their time and give back to the community. Congratulations to Briana and Donna for their good work. To learn more about these attorneys, visit Briana’s profile or Donna’s profile.
