Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard is pleased to announce the addition of lateral attorney Delos Flint, Jr. to its New Orleans headquarters, joining the firm as a shareholder. With a career spanning nearly 40 years, he brings a wealth of experience and esteem to the firm’s Admiralty & Maritime practice.

Flint is a former named partner of Fowler Rodriguez, also located in New Orleans, and he provides a repertoire of work in maritime litigation, the Defense Base Act, breach of contract, products liability and environmental law. With a practice involving both commercial and civil litigation, he has represented numerous clients in the maritime and energy industries and has recently received favorable outcomes for large-scale corporations such as Ensco Offshore Company, Rowan Companies, AIG and KBR Engineering Company.

His notable achievements have been honored with a distinguished ranking by Chambers & Partners. He’s also been recognized by Super Lawyers in the category of Transportation/Maritime, as well as Best Lawyers in the Admiralty & Maritime Law and Commercial Litigation categories. His dedication both to the legal profession and the community also earned Flint a spot in the 2010 New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law class.

After graduating with a bachelor of arts in history with honors from Dartmouth College, Flint went on to receive his Juris Doctor at Louisiana State University Law School, where he served as associate editor for the Louisiana Coastal Law newsletter.

“It’s an honor to have Dee on our team,” said managing partner Stewart Peck. “His knowledge and experience in the maritime and energy industries will bolster our Admiralty and Maritime practice and prove beneficial to our clients. Lugenbuhl is pleased to have such a welcomed addition to the firm.”

Flint is admitted to practice law in Louisiana and Colorado. He is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and American Bar Association. In addition, he serves on the board of directors of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and is an active member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, American Immigration Lawyers Association and Defense Research Institute.
