Lugenbuhl welcomes of counsel attorney Christine Edwards to its Houston office. She specializes in personal and commercial first party property claims, automobile cases involving uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage issues and bad faith litigation.

Previously, Edwards served as in-house counsel for the Travelers Companies, Inc. where she managed litigation and provided coverage advice for the claim legal auto and property groups. She led the Motive and Opportunity Committee for the examination of cases involving suspected arson and fraud, and she was involved in the defense of hundreds of lawsuits arising from natural catastrophes such as Hurricanes Katrina, Wilma, Rita and Ike; Super Storm Sandy; and the hail storms in the Rio Grande Valley. 

Edwards earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was a certified legal intern for the school’s criminal clinic trial division. She also served as law clerk to the U.S. Regime Crimes Liaison Office in Baghdad, Iraq, Human Rights Practice, providing research for prosecution of persons brought before the Iraqi Special Tribunal.
