Reed S. Minkin was born in Edison, New Jersey and attended high school in San Francisco before moving to New Orleans in 1989. He graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1997 with a degree in Sociology. Mr. Minkin attended law school at Santa Clara University in California and graduated in 2001. During law school, he was an Honors Moot Court semi-finalist. During his last year of law school, Mr. Minkin served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Ronald M. Whyte, United States District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose. Mr. Minkin is licensed in Louisiana and Michigan, and is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Michigan. His current practice primarily focuses on insurance coverage, insurance defense and construction litigation. His legal experience also includes matters involving auto and premises liability, the defense of developers and general contractors in residential construction litigation, real estate title insurance defense, and construction liens.
