Céleste Darmstadter Elliott was born in Alexandria, Virginia on January 26, 1969. Her undergraduate education was at the University of Virginia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1991. She graduated in 1994 from the Tulane University School of Law, magna cum laude, where she was inducted to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Ms. Elliott served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Veronica Wicker at the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. After law school, she served as a staff attorney for the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. A shareholder, Ms. Elliott focuses her practice on insurance coverage litigation and counseling. She represents insurers in connection with insurance coverage and bad faith disputes involving a variety of matters including environmental and latent injury claims, business torts, and labor and employment related claims. She is the co-author of Bad Faith and Punitive Damage Claims in a Direct Action State, Insurance Litigation Reporter, Volume 21, Number 9, June 1, 1999 and Bloody But Unbowed: The Absolute Pollution Exclusion in Louisiana, Environmental Claims Journal, Volume 12, Number 1, Fall 1999. Ms. Elliott is admitted to the bars of Louisiana, Maryland and Virginia. In addition to state and federal courts in Louisiana to which she is admitted to practice, Ms. Elliott has been admitted to practice pro hac vice before state and federal courts in Arkansas, Mississippi and Georgia. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
