Christopher T. Caplinger was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on November 10, 1972. He did his undergraduate work at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, graduating in 1994 with concentrations in Government and Religion. He received his law degree and a Masters of Religious Studies in December 1997 from Loyola University, New Orleans, where he assisted in the development of the curriculum for the first in a series of courses concerning Law and Religion. Prior to his admission to the bar in 1998, Mr. Caplinger served as an Extern with both the Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee, Region V, in New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as in the Chambers of the Hon. Ginger Berrigan, United States District Judge, Eastern District of Louisiana. Mr. Caplinger is a member of the Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts within the state of Louisiana. Mr. Caplinger practices within the areas of commercial law and litigation, creditor and debtor rights, and bankruptcy law and reorganization.
