As a result of the Small Business Reorganization Act which came into effect in February 2020 and the recently enacted CARES Act, a sizable portion of those new bankruptcy cases may be individuals and small businesses taking advantage of the new subchapter V of the Bankruptcy Code to make those bankruptcy cases cheaper, easier, and faster.
