Benjamin Kadden

Benjamin W. Kadden was born in Springfield, Illinois on October 20, 1979. After graduating from Louisiana State University in 2002, he earned his law degree from Tulane University School of Law in 2005. During law school, Mr. Kadden had the pleasure of serving as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Alma Chasez, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana (2004-2005) and as a volunteer clerk in the chambers of the Honorable Judge Sarah Vance, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana (2003). Mr. Kadden's primary practice areas include Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Reorganization, Creditors' Rights, including oil and gas lien law, commercial litigation and corporate governance. Some of the Chapter 11 proceedings where he acted as Debtor's counsel include Gulf Fleet Holdings, Inc., East Cameron Partners, L.P., Bender Shipbuilding & Repair Co., Torch Offshore, Inc., New Orleans Tours, Inc., and New Orleans Paddlewheels. Mr. Kadden has also served as counsel for the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in Chapter 11 cases, including acting as lead counsel in the Chapter 11 case of Virgin Oil Company, Inc., and as special counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Trico Marine bankruptcy. Mr. Kadden is licensed to practice in the States of Louisiana and Texas, including all state and federal courts, and the United States Fifth Circuit.
