Biography

From our New Orleans office, Shaundra focuses on several practice areas including insurance coverage, insurance defense, insurance bad faith claims, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, commercial litigation, torts, employment law, premises liability, public sector liability, and pre-litigation consulting.

Shaundra graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. After graduation, she worked for a residential real estate law firm in Atlanta, Georgia before starting law school at Louisiana State University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law in 2008. She was actively involved in law school as a member of multiple Moot Court teams and also participated in trial advocacy programs.

Shaundra has substantial litigation experience. She clerked for an insurance defense firm that provided in-house counsel services for a large national insurance company. Thereafter, she joined a smaller general practice law firm and was directly involved in the defense of uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, insurance bad faith claims, insurance coverage disputes, products liability, contracts, employment law, and general liability matters. She also has experience representing plaintiffs with complex property insurance claims, personal injury, medical malpractice, and civil rights claims.

In May 2013, Shaundra joined Lugenbuhl as an associate attorney in the insurance section. She is a trial attorney and has vast experience in both state and federal courts. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Louisiana and the State of Georgia. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, as well as the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. She has appellate experience in the Louisiana Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals, as well as the Louisiana Supreme Court and United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.
