Rebecca focuses her practice on insurance litigation involving coverage issues and bad faith claims in both state and federal court. She has experience in coverage analysis and litigation arising out of homeowners, auto, boiler, and commercial property policies. She also has experience representing clients in personal injury and premises liability lawsuits.
From our Houston office, Rebecca focuses on property insurance coverage, bad faith claims litigation, and litigation. Rebecca was born in Columbus, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1994, receiving a degree in Criminal Justice. After obtaining her paralegal certification from Southwest Texas State University in 1996, Rebecca worked as a paralegal in the legal field until earning her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2001.
Rebecca was listed among Texas’ Top Young Lawyers (Texas Rising Star Edition, Super Lawyers Magazine, 2010 and 2011). She is a member of the Houston, Texas and American Bar Associations and is a member of the Insurance Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts; the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals; and the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western United States District Courts in Texas.
Rebecca’s practice has focused on matters involving sophisticated coverage cases and insurance defense matters related to commercial litigation, third-party and first-party defense, product liability, automobile claims, and premises liability. Her litigation experience includes bench trials, default judgments, and mediations. In motion practice, Rebecca has successfully pursued summary judgments and defended against them in both Texas and Florida. Rebecca and her husband, Troy, have two children.
