Miles is a seasoned litigator and a proven trial attorney who is responsive to his clients and a zealous advocate. Based on his experience, Miles tries cases that need to be tried but is practical in settling those that need to be settled if it is in the best interest of his clients.
From our New Orleans office, Miles focuses on admiralty and maritime, marine insurance coverage, and litigation. Miles was born in South Carolina and received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University.
After leaving Clemson, Miles received his Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Tennessee where he served as an articles editor for the Tennessee Journal of Business Law. After graduating in 2004, Miles practiced in South Carolina in a variety of areas including insurance defense, probate, real estate, and criminal law. He also served as a municipal prosecutor and as an assistant city attorney.
Miles since transferred his practice to New Orleans where he focuses on admiralty and maritime law while continuing to maintain a general litigation practice. He is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of Louisiana and South Carolina. Miles is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana State, South Carolina State, and American Bar Associations.
